We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge

DAY 13—The five Ascension Gift Ministries work to bring perfection to Christ’s Body.

In Ephesians 4:12-16 Paul tells what the five Ascension Gift ministries are to work together toward accomplishing—and how long their ministries will continue. They are to work toward bringing the Body of Christ to its perfection. The bullets placed throughout this Scripture emphasize what works toward bringing each of us unto our completion for the Day of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:11-16 And He gave (appointed) some, •Apostles; and some, •Prophets; and some, •Evangelists; and some, •Pastors and •Teachers; •For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, •for the edifying of the Body of Christ: •Till we all come in the unity of the faith, •and of the knowledge (the acknowledgment) of the Son of God, •unto a perfect man, •unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: •That we henceforth be no more children, •tossed to and fro, •and carried about with every wind of doctrine, •by the sleight of men, •and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; •But speaking the truth in love, •may grow up into Him in all things, •which is the Head, even Christ: •From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,• according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, •maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

LORD, I’m one of those who is caught in a place where there seems no possibility of the above Scripture coming to pass. I understand there are many in the world who are in prison for the sake of the Gospel. Please visit them with Your Holy Spirit. The hope of all of us is in Your mercy. Please complete Your work in me, and in these I hold before You.
